Project Pre-Check Incorporates Three Unique Change Management Tools
Project Pre-Check incorporates three unique change management tools in a collaborative framework to ensure project success. We call them the Project Pre-Check building blocks: Stakeholders, Processes and the Decision Framework. Together, these unique change management tools provide the foundation for stakeholders to manage business and technology change successfully.
Change Management tool #1 is the Stakeholder Model. Stakeholders in Project Pre-Check are the key decision makers: sponsors, change agents, targets and champions. Get the right stakeholders involved, committed and agreeing on the project decisions being made and you’ll have a much greater chance of project success.
Change management tool #2 is the process model that guides stakeholder action in Project Launch, Oversight and Health Check activities. The Processes direct the decision makers to ensure that key steps are completed, in the right sequence, at the right time, with the right participants, leveraging the necessary resources.
Change management tool # 3 is the best practice based Decision Framework. The Decision Framework ensures stakeholders consider all aspects of the change, the environment within which the change is being implemented, the assets that can be leveraged or that will be affected and the way the project will be conducted. It focuses the stakeholders’ decision making efforts on best practice areas that have helped other projects deliver successfully.
Collectively, these three unique change management tools provide the key stakeholders with the capability to deliver project success effectively and consistently over time.
